Accuracy and detail are critical to successfully screen candidates. Because there is no one stop location to search criminal records its import to be sure the right combination of tools are being utilized to identify past history. We incorporate several tools into the process before we even start looking for criminal records. You can’t depend on your applicant to be honest about past locations and criminal activity. We identify past history and match that to the areas that should be searched for criminal records.
Once we identify where to search, we only utilize the best tested methods, sources, and procedures to initiate searches. Database Searches
We access proprietary databases that combine records from several resources such as correction inmate records, arrest records, county municipalities, and a host of other sources to broaden the scope of a background screening program. Sometimes these type searches are misrepresented as “national”, but in fact are really supplemental to a background screening program. The best example of a database might be to compare this with cell phone coverage; there are always exceptions and pockets that are not covered.
